Brits say Brexit will not impact their travel plans

63.5% state Brexit won’t impact their holiday decision wanted to get an idea of how British people see Brexit impacting their future travel to European countries. We launched a nationwide survey to find out more.

With more than 2,000 participants, the results showed that the majority of Brits aren’t bothered about the new hurdles of travelling to Europe. In fact, only 36.5% of respondents said that they believe Brexit will have any effect on where they travel in the next five years.

Whether they fear these changes or not, more than half of Brits aren’t about to let Brexit hinder their travel plans. Our survey results showed that 57.3% of Brits will be taking their next holiday somewhere within the European Union. We uncovered that 43% of people are planning a beach holiday, so the likes of Italy and Spain can expect to see their shores packed, as usual.

But millennials do have some reservations

The biggest Brexit concerns among UK travellers appears to be primarily coming from millennials. In fact, 40.4% of respondents aged 18-25 said they believe Brexit will have an impact on their travel plans in the next five years – the highest percentage for any age range.

Our research also revealed that the majority of British people are able to enjoy a holiday on a budget. Results showed that 38.3% of Brits spend less than £500 on booking a holiday, while 37.3% can have a great trip for less than £1,500.
